Faith in Action Volunteers Serving Seniors is seeking a grocery shopper to help increase food access for seniors. The shopper would be required to grocery shop for the client weekly, bi-weekly or monthly on a predetermined day and time.  This position is ongoing with shoppers and clients matched up for extended periods of time (some have been together for over 16 years.).  The shopper would go to the clients home, collect their grocery list and payment, go to the store and shop, and then return with and put away the groceries. Each "shop" should take no longer than 2 hours. A form stating how long the shop took, the miles driven, and the amount spent would need to be signed before the form was then sent on to FIAV via email, fax or mail.  These forms are needed back to us by the following 5th of each month.

Requirements:

In order to volunteer, the shopper would need to fill out a simple form, consent to and pass a background check, and provide a copy of their DL and insurance. A car is required. The shopper also needs to be able to climb stairs, carry groceries and put them away where needed.
