Faith in Action, within the Broome County Council of Churches, is currently seeking out volunteers to help aging individuals within the Broome County community. There has been a shortage of volunteers this last year, but the number of individuals in need of our assistance has increased. Please consider volunteering with Faith in Action!
The current tasks we need the most help with include driving individuals to medical appointments, grocery shopping and errands. Volunteer drivers will typically need 2 hours per ride to take the individual to their appointment/shopping and then to take them home. Faith in Action does not expect volunteers to complete a certain number of hours per week; any number of rides volunteers can provide each month is appreciated, especially by our older community members in need. Most rides are scheduled ONLY during the week, with few exceptions for weekend rides. Please take this into account while you consider volunteer opportunities with Faith in Action.

Requirements to Volunteer Include:
- A background check
- Access to a vehicle
- A valid driver’s license
- Attendance at a 1 hour orientation
- A love for the Broome County Aging Community!
