The Danielle House

Who We Are

Danielle House, named in honor of Danielle Stento, is a charitable, non-profit organization and member of the Healthcare Hospitality Network.

The Danielle House was created in response to the need for hospitality and emotional support for family members visiting seriously ill patients in Binghamton-area hospitals.

Many of us have had a loved one who has been hospitalized away from home for an extended period of time. We can relate to the stress that this kind of experience introduces into our lives: sleepless nights, financial worries, anxiety over an eventual diagnosis, as well as the discomfort experienced with being in an unfamiliar city away from friends and family.

What We Do

In the spirit of helping others in need, The Danielle House offers a temporary, safe and homelike atmosphere for patients' families and loved ones, and for outpatients seeking respite during a medical crisis, during treatment phases of medical care, or medical-related services. Our guests may come to us as the result of an accident or sudden illness of a loved one, or to be with a loved one who is undergoing surgery or medical treatment far from home. Outpatients who are able to care for themselves or who have a support person are also welcome. We also serve family members of residents of long-term care facilities in our area.

Our goal is to provide love, support, comfort, and affordable accommodations for those who find themselves in the Triple Cities area with us.
