Who We Are
The Phelps Mansion Museum is a historic house museum and arts center located in the heart of downtown Binghamton. Built in 1870 by banker Sherman D. Phelps, the mansion was owned for over a hundred years by the Monday Afternoon Club (MAC), a private woman's club. We were incorporated as a museum in 2005.
What We Do
The Phelps serves the local community through historical tours and programming, live musical performances, art exhibits, educational programs, school tours, and more. We specifically interpret downtown Binghamton history and women's history.
