Who We Are
The Phelps Mansion Museum is a historic house museum and arts center located in the heart of downtown Binghamton. Built in 1870 by banker Sherman D. Phelps, the mansion was owned for over a hundred years by the Monday Afternoon Club, a private woman's club. We were incorporated as a museum in 2005.
What We Do
The Phelps serves the local community as a humanities hub, combining historical interpretation of 19th century Binghamton with live musical performances, art exhibits, educational programs, and more.
