YMCA of Broome County

Who We Are

As a charitable, nonprofit health and human services organization, the YMCA earns its tax-exempt status each day by providing essential programs and services that strengthen our community. Guided by our commitment to accessibility and inclusion, we never turn anyone away due to an inability to pay. Each year, hundreds of individuals and families throughout Broome County receive financial assistance through the YMCA. Annually, more than 15,000 children, adults, and families benefit from support provided through our Annual Campaign, which helps make YMCA memberships, youth programs, summer camp experiences, health and wellness initiatives, and other life-enriching services accessible to those who need them most. Through the generosity of our donors and community partners, we are able to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive, regardless of their financial circumstances.

What We Do

Building on a strong tradition of serving the community, the YMCA of Broome County is ready for the challenges of the future. We still strive for success by meeting the ever changing needs of the community, through innovative programming. We will provide a safe, caring environment for people of all ages to pursue their individual goals for growth and self improvement as well as create a place where all feel they belong and are welcomed.
