Who We Are
As a charitable not-for-profit health and human services organization founded to help people, we earn our tax-exempt status every day by making available and accessible much needed services in the community. We also do not turn anyone away due to an inability to pay—each year, hundreds of people in Broome County benefit from financial assistance from the YMCA. Annually, more than 15,000 children and families benefit from the annual campaign, providing financial aid for people who wish to participate in YMCA programs such as Before and After School Programs and summer camp, or to purchase a membership.
What We Do
Building on a strong tradition of serving the community, the YMCA of Broome County is ready for the challenges of the future. We still strive for success by meeting the ever changing needs of the community, through innovative programming. We will provide a safe, caring environment for people of all ages to pursue their individual goals for growth and self improvement as well as create a place where all feel they belong and are welcomed.
