Set up for classic video game event. Father's Day weekend, we will be hosting a retro video game event as part of NYS Paths Through History Weekend.
Volunteers will set up a dozen vintage video game hardware consoles - from the 1980s- 2000s and test selection of games for guests to play and write up How To Play cards, with tips for success. The brainpower of several of these games come from controller chips designed by IBM Endicott. Volunteers will work with the Center's collection of two dozen game consoles/hardware and 250+ games, all donated by the leader of IBM Endicott's Digital Video Products group. Game hardware includes Commodore 64, Atari Lynx, Sega Dream Cast, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Play Station 1 and 2, XBox 360, and various Nintendo games.
This activity is independent of weather; snacks and beverages provided.
Lunch will be provided only at the end of morning shift or beginning of afternoon shift.
Either 9 or 10 June, either morning or afternoon. Volunteers will work in small groups - 2-3 people, minimum 3 people, maximum 15 people.
