Join Girl Scout Camp Amahami for a stable fix up and Spruce Up!
For my Gold Award, I will be converting the current open stable to several pens to house farm animals for summer camp, and building a compost bin to cut down on trash sent to the landfill. The first step is getting the grounds ready.
We need Volunteers to assist in
- Clearing brush and debris from a field
- Fencing off a paddock area
- Putting together compost bins
- General outdoor clean up
This summer, girls will be learning to care for the animals, and how to separate and compost trash throughout camp.
Volunteers are encouraged to wear close toed shoes and bring gardening gloves
Volunteers will be served a camp classic of walking tacos and drinks!
