Our STEM lab is in need of some cleaning and organizing. Tasks would include washing windows, wiping down surfaces, cleaning the bathroom and maintenance room and organizinig materials Lunch will be provided in our Dining Hall at 1:00.

Logs need to be split for use in the fireplaces/firepits around camp. Wear sturdy closed toe shoes, heavy work gloves & safety goggles (we will have gloves & goggles for those that need them).  Lunch will be provided in our Dining Hall at 1:00.

We have a number of decks attached to our buildings that need to be stained. Wear sturdy closed toe shoes and clothes you don't mind gettting stain on (:>). We will have the suppplies needed to apply the stain. Lunch will be provided in our Dining Hall at 1:00.

This Day of Caring, join us at NoMa for our Saturday Community Lunch! Every Saturday, NoMa provides a free hot lunch for our community members, and volunteers are essential in making this happen! Volunteers arrive by 11:00 AM to help with kitchen tasks like food preparation, washing dishes, and chopping vegetables, as well as greeting guests at the door and guiding them safely down the stairs or elevators. Responsibilities also include setting up tables and chairs, serving meals, dismantling the setup afterward, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the event. Your help ensures a welcoming experience for everyone—join us in making a meaningful difference!

Help us make the performing arts center organized! Volunteers will assist with assembling shelving units and organizing large storage bins within the some of the dressing room areas. Tasks involve lifting, bending, and some fine motor skills. Stairs are required to access these areas.

Camp Amahami has multiple trails stretching across our property. The trails need to be cleared of sticks, branches & overgrowth. We can provide gloves or you can bring your own. Sturdy closed toe shoes are required and there may be some damp spots along the trails. There may also be some larger branches or downed trees as well due to severe storms that have passed through the camp. We can supply tools or you can bring your own. In addition, there are also invasive species vines that need to be removed from some of our buildings. Lunch will be provided in our Dining Hall at 1:00. Work can be done rain or shine.

We need to repaint our side entrance steps and porch. This is where our caterer's entrance and it is in need of a refresh.

Enter the depths of Roberson Museum and help us with some heavy lifting as we clean our basement. 

We are in need of extra hands that are able to help us move around and remove large exhibit furniture and display pieces. Some we will be rearranging in the basement, some will be moving locations, and some are moving out completely.  

Help us neaten up the grounds here at Roberson Museum!

We are in need of assistance with some end of the summer weeding and mulching around the Museum, Mansion, and around the grounds of the Roberson campus itself.

This is a physical job that will be outside, so please bring sunscreen and water. Please also bring work gloves and dress comfortably for working outside in varying levels of direct sunlight. Volunteers will be bending over and lifting up to 20lbs.  Any gardening experience is a major bonus, but not required.

Join us at Sarah Jane Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church to help with post–moving sale cleanup and organization. Volunteers will assist with sorting, packing, and disposing of remaining items from the previous moving sale. Tasks involve light lifting, bending, and general organization. We are seeking 3–5 volunteers to support this one-day service project on September 11 at 308 Main St., Johnson City, NY 13790. Your help will make a meaningful difference in preparing the space for future church and community activities.

Volunteers will assist with general yard cleanup, weeding, mulching garden beds, trimming overgrown areas, and tidying walkways to help VOA beautify our outdoor spaces. Basic tools and materials will be provided.

We could use the bushes trimmed in front of the old building. 

Also, the lower level windows on the annex need to be washed.  We would not want anyone to climb on ladders, so we would provide the windex and PT.

Indoor project - clean and re-organization a janitor's closet.

As the seasons change, our clothing closet needs a complete refresh to make room for cozy autumn gear. We are looking for a team of enthusiatic volunteers to help us pack away our summer inventory, unbox our fall donations, and organize the space so our clients can easily find what they need.
