We are looking for volunteers with painting experience and eye for detail. This project will help give our YMCA Men's Housing area a fresh look for the  men that reside at the YMCA. We will be painting the hallways and doors on all the floors of the men's dormitory.

For this project we are making sure all craft items (excluding the fish tank full of beads) are in containers with matching lids, getting rid of unusable items, and moving items to another side cabin. The items should have enough product to last a group of 20 or so kids in an activity if that makes sense. Please label and move the items to one cabin attached to Pat's Crafts as we need to remove everything from the main building to replace the flooring. This way our maintenance team can have assistance moving cabinets and shelves. 

The Acorn trail is a popular trail stretching across our property that allows you to truly be immersed in nature and enjoy the scenery. The trail needs to be cleared of any sticks, overgrowth, or trash in the path. This can either be pulling things by hand, using shears, or rolling off the trail. Fletcher (Mostly back loading dock and the side of the building facing the lake) needs all of the vines from the walls, roof, and dock removed. They should be able to be pulled off easily, but trimming shears are available. 

Deep cleaning all of the units and buildings to make sure they are safe, sealed, and ready to be winterized when we get to that point. This includes sanitizing, dusting, cleaning out the fridge/freezer, putting items into sealed containers to make them mouse proof, sweeping, mopping, cleaning windows, and the dining room/lobby from the summer. This will be between 4 different units on camp. 2 of the buildings are wheelchair accessible, and 2 of the units are not.

Deep cleaning the kitchen including taking the dry storage shelves out, sanitizing and putting in mouse traps, and then putting everything back in airtight containers.

Help TechWorks! with some gardening, beautification and artifact projects! Volunteers can choose based on their interest:

A) Gardening, including trimming shrub saplings. Supplies will be provided.

B) Wall painting project. Supplies will be provided.

C) Boxing up artifacts

D) Player Piano Rolls

we are doing a lot of landscaping. Cutting back brush, edging, weeding, mulching, etc.

The Ladies of Charity’s Nearly New Shop at 331 Main Street, needs help switching over the shop’s summer inventory to fall and winter.  This will include having volunteers help bag up summer clothing items, carry up fall and winter clothing from the basement, and place the winter clothing on hangers in preparation to be hung on the floor.
