Who We Are
HCA was founded in 1947 to provide services to disabled children in Broome County. Our mission is to "celebrate and empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community".
What We Do
We provide a wide array of services to people of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These include Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers, an integrated preschool where disabled students learn alongside their nondisabled peers, physical, occupational and speech/language therapies for children, an Article 16 clinic, employment services for adults, respite programming, community habilitation, and we operate 15 group homes with 72 beds. All these services are provided to promote physical and cognitive development, skills building and independence.
